The Historic Haile Homestead in Gainesville, Florida, USA is uniquely covered in graffiti from its inhabitants. In the mid-1800s Thomas and Serena Haile and their 15 children relocated to this Georgian style plantation house. Once there, Serena began adding her recipes, notes, and diary entries all over the walls. The trend caught on, and everyone began to add their own contributions. Some of the latest writing can be found from the early 20th century, after their son inherited the house.

Delve into the writing and explore the Homestead through our virtual experience. Within the tour, you will be able to navigate through rooms in the house and discover some of the fascinating graffiti that covers the walls.
